Dr. Wright is a member of the National Association of School Psychologists, the Illinois School Psychologists Association (ISPA), and the Learning & the Brain Society. He is the Region 7 Director for ISPA. His interests include working within educational systems to encourage positive change for all students, helping to understand and to teach exceptional students, brain-based learning, and the application of educational psychology to increase learning for all students. |

Counseling Psychology ManagementTeaches only non-transfer occupational courses | Dr. Kathrina Wherpool Oram began teaching for the MA in Counseling Psychology program at Trinity International University, Florida Regional Center in the fall semester of 2005. Dr. Wherpool received her Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry from Virginia Tech in 1992 and her Doctor of Psychology degree in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University in 1999. Prior to accepting the position with CCU, Dr. Wherpool worked as a psychologist for outpatient psychotherapy practices in Nashville, Tennessee, and Bluefield, Virginia and provided student counseling at The University of South Florida. She was also an adjunct psychology instructor for Bluefield State and Southwest Virginia Community Colleges. Professor Wherpool coauthored chapters on sexual and gender identity disorders and professional ethics, legal and multicultural issues in mental healthcare in the 2009 edition of Essential Psychopathology and a chapter on Child and Adolescent Therapy for Precursors to Adulthood Homosexual Tendencies in Handbook of Therapy for Unwanted Homosexual Attractions: A Guide to Treatment. |

Education | Dr. Genevoltz has taught at all levels, from early childhood to graduate education. An educational anthropologist, she spent several years looking at the development of trust relationships in inner-city schools. Currently, she is studying the role of university-school partnerships in teacher education. Her primary interests include intercultural communication and diversity issues. She is an active member of the Council on Anthropology in Education and the American Educational Research Association. Business and Management | Before beginning her career in teaching, Dr. Paul enjoyed a career in consumer goods marketing management at Procter & Gamble and Schering-Plough Healthcare Products. She joined CCU after teaching for twelve years at another Christian college. Her primary research interest focuses on marketing for ministries, while her additional research efforts on intergenerational family businesses have yielded several awards, including best papers and the designation as a Family Business Research Scholar. |

Dr. Ottman has served as a counselor educator for more than twenty years. Prior to coming to CCU in 2007, she taught at Liberty University in the School of Religion. Dr. Ottman is a licensed clinical psychologist. She practiced full time for several years prior to teaching; since then she has maintained a counseling practice providing individual and marital counseling, as well as diagnostic evaluation and assessment. Over the years her speaking and writing have focused on areas such as spiritual formation, stress management, burnout, and ministry and professional ethics.
